How to Delete Your Account

You can delete your AyaGuide account in the mobile app.



Delete Your Account via the Mobile App (Recommended)

  1. Open the AyaGuide mobile app.

  2. Navigate to Settings.

  3. Tap on "Delete My Account".

  4. Confirm your request when prompted.

  5. A verification email will be sent to your registered email address.

  6. Click on the confirmation link in the email to finalize your account deletion request.

  7. Your account will be permanently deleted right away.



Verification Process for Account Deletion

To prevent unauthorized deletion, we require email verification before processing the request:

  • A confirmation email will be sent to your registered email address.

  • You must click the link in the email to verify your identity and confirm account deletion.

  • If you do not confirm the deletion within 24 hours, the request will be canceled.

What Happens After You Request Deletion?

  • Once confirmed, your account will be scheduled for deletion after 7 days.

  • During this period, you can cancel the deletion request by logging in.

  • After the 7-day retention period, your account and all associated data will be permanently deleted.

What Data is Deleted?

We permanently delete the following data:

  • Personal Information (e.g., name, email, phone number).

  • User-generated content (e.g., messages, posts, profile data).

  • Account-related settings and preferences.

⚠ Once deleted, your data cannot be recovered.

What Data May Be Retained?

Certain data may still be retained for legitimate business purposes, such as:

  • App Usage History (Analytics Data):

    • We may retain anonymous and aggregated analytics data to improve app performance.

    • This data is not linked to your personal identity and cannot be deleted individually.

  • Transaction Records (if applicable):

    • If you made any purchases, transaction-related data may be retained for 12 months for tax and legal compliance.

Once the retention period for these records expires, they are automatically deleted.

How to Delete Conversations

If you want to delete your conversations while keeping your account active, follow these steps:


Deleting a Conversation via the Mobile App

  1. Open the AyaGuide mobile app.

  2. Navigate to the conversation you want to delete.

  3. Open Conversation Settings.

  4. Tap "Delete Conversation".

  5. Confirm the deletion.

This action takes immediate effect, and the conversation cannot be recovered.

Can I Delete Conversations via the Website?

No, we do not offer conversation deletion via our website.
All conversation deletions must be done within the mobile app for security and user experience reasons.

What Happens After Deleting a Conversation?

  • The conversation will be permanently removed from your account.

  • Other users in the conversation will not see your messages anymore.

  • This action cannot be undone.

How Long Does Data Deletion Take?

  • Conversation deletion takes immediate effect.
